Sagada Bus Ride

In Baguio, there is a bus stop solely for Sagada and Bontoc. The trip is six hours long. So from Manila-Sagada, it takes about 12 hours of land travel one-way! The bus fee from Baguio to Sagada is P 236 pesos ($6).

Half-way thru the trip, one stops at Morning Star where travellers are given around 2o minutes to grab their lunch. We ate Chicken Adobo and Pinapaitan around P180 ($4). This is not a gourmet or stylish restaurant but for our growling stomachs, this place would suffice.

Snacks and drinks are also available at the bus stop. This is also where you take time to relieve nature's call. Get ready for P3-5 coins to use the comfort rooms. Some foreigners have to ask our bus conductor for some coins because they didn't bring any. And when you travel with a group, one hates waiting because they are still in the CR! Hehe.

After the long, tedius, sometimes bumpy ride, seeing nature at work is priceless! BTW, the bus has no airconditioner but since we are up in the mountains, the breezy cold fresh air is God-sent :)
